Calculate the Engagement Score:

Prompt
Calculate the Engagement Score:
Use the responses from the column "[Column with hotspot clicks]" in the attached CSV to calculate the Engagement score using the following formula:

Engagement Score = (number of participants who clicked in a hotspot on the page in [Column with hotspot clicks]) ÷ (number of responses)

After calculating the Engagement score, report where it lands on the following scale:

Very Good = above 90%

Good = 70–89%

Average = 50–69%

Poor = 30–49%

Very Poor = 0–29%

Next, analyze the responses in the column "[Column with qualitative explanations]" in the CSV to identify common themes and provide clear, actionable suggestions for how the Engagement score could be improved.

Here’s your Engagement Score from the CSV (column: Section 1 Hotspot).

📊 Calculation

Total responses (N): 100

Clicked a hotspot: 41

No click recorded: 59

🔧 How to improve Engagement

Make the hotspot visually obvious

Increase contrast and size (minimum ~44×44px on touch).

Add motion/affordance cues: gentle pulse, hover state, or hint (“Tap to explore”).

Keep only one primary hotspot above the fold to avoid competing targets.

Strengthen information scent

Place action-oriented copy adjacent to the hotspot (e.g., “See program costs” / “Preview outcomes”).

Use a micro-benefit subline: “20-sec overview”.

Optimize placement & layout

Move the hotspot into the primary visual path (upper-left/center on desktop, top third on mobile).

Provide generous whitespace around it; avoid surrounding links that steal clicks.

Reduce friction after the click

Ensure instant feedback (inline reveal, light modal, or smooth scroll) rather than a slow page load.

Keep the first revealed content concise (3 bullets, one graphic, one CTA).

Test and iterate quickly

A/B test label + style + position; success metric = hotspot CTR.

Target: ≥60% engagement next run. Ship the highest-CTR variant and re-measure.
